Mike McMahon founded Urban Farming Education to use education to
address the scarcity of nutritious food in many areas. Schools and
NPOs are provided special low-area, rich soil in bags, irrigated farm
systems so they learn to grow their own food and develop positive
attitudes towards eating healthy food.

About Urban Farming Education's Mission
Urban Farming Education's mission is to build gardens and conduct programs designed for education, sustenance, ecotherapy, social impact, and urban farming for profit. They specifically serve schools, domestic violence shelters, homeless shelters, foster care prevention centers, and the disabled and elderly.

Their gardens and programs are fertile sites for both community and personal development, engaging with the ever-present global concerns around food sustainability and environmental issues.

“The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation and perfection of human beings.”
